Leed® Compliant Products

Architectural Components Group, Inc. is a United States supplier of solid wood and wood veneer components, ceiling panels and wall panels for architectural applications. With our complete in house manufacturing capability our firm is able to provide LEED® compliant materials, designs and processes that will assist you in obtaining required LEED points in the following nine categories.

ACGI will also supply appropriate LEED qualification documentation and certification after the product is delivered and installed on the project.

Solid Wood: Some solid woods are commercially available as Reclaimed Wood. However, these are considerably more expensive and in very short supply.

Veneers: Veneered products generally do not quality for this credit.

Solid Wood:
Very few solid wood products will qualify for this credit.

Veneers: ACGI manufacturers products on 100% recycled content cores that allows most veneer products to qualify for these credits, with the weight ratio of over 75%.

Solid Wood & Veneers: ACGI's main manufacturing facility is located in Marshfield, MO, Depending on the project location, our manufacturing facility may be within 500 miles of the project, allowing this credit to apply.

Solid Wood:
Different species are harvested from different areas of our country, or even abroad, making the specified product species and its harvesting region and location to the project (within 500 miles) a defining point for this credit.

Veneers: Veneer species are also harvested regionally, but more importantly, the core material is harvested in two specific regions and its manufacturing location in relation to the project establishes the qualification for this credit.

Solid Wood: Very few solid wood species are available to qualify for this credit

Veneers: Some species, such as Bamboo, do qualify for this credit. However, due to the species involved and their commercial availability, these products carry higher prices.

ACGI is FSC Certified with Chain of Custody

Solid Wood: Many species are available in FSC® Certified wood. The increased cost for the product depends on the commercial availability of certified lumber. Many species require additional lead time to accumulate wood in the upper grades required and is always subject to prior sale to other industries.

Veneers: Generally veneer species are more available in FSC certified flitches, and the up-charge for FSC certification varies depending on many factors, including the specie selected. Some veneer species are not available at all as FSC Certified. Many projects require that only the veneer face be FSC Certified, but if required by the project FSC Certified cores are available with an increased price.

Solid Wood & Veneers:
Technically this credit is limited to the adhesives applied within the building envelope, not at the manufacturer's location. However, ACGI does assemble both solid wood and veneer components with materials that do qualify as Low Emitting Materials.

Solid Wood & Veneers:
As with Credit 4.1 this credit is limited to paints and finishes applied within the building envelope. ACGI does use low emitting finishing materials that are cured without VOC emissions for both its solid wood and wood veneer products.

Solid Wood:
This credit is not applicable to solid wood products.

Wood Veneers: The aim of this credit is to have veneered product core materials that are manufactured with resins containing No Added Urea Formaldehyde (NAUF). For most products these cores are available, but sometimes they do carry increased costs.
